Zebra back skin uses
Not sure if this is the correct place to post this.
I have the back skin from a zebra shoulder mount and I have a zebra full flat skin on the way.
My shoulder mount is not a pedestal.

What are some uses for the back skin? I'd like to make something(s) out of it.

Thanks

Depending on the size, an Ottoman or a couple of cushions normally work well or a gift for the wife in the form of a bag could also be a nice idea.

The back skin has the most striking pattern....
As posted above that part makes a dramatic pillow/cushion.
I saved one and used on future taxidermy. I.e. On a future Pedestal mount as paneling, or for elephant tusk holder panels (i had a template of Africa cut out and backed with Zebra skin)

My Taxidermist cut out a set of coasters shaped like Africa with some of my Zebra hide. They look pretty cool.

I have a wingback chair being upholstered with one of our zebra skins. It is supposed to be ready in a week or two.
I'll try to post a pic of it.

I picked up my chair today.
Only thing I did not like was they put some "stick on" eyes in the eyeslots on the back. I plan to either remove them and just leave it black inside the eyeholes or get my taxidermist to put some proper eyes in it.

Is it the tail hanging down in front or just the kind of furniture you'd find in a porno??

Looks really great. In addition to the eyes, I would have sewn the ears flat and ditched the tail, but still really gret. Now I have another good reason to shoot another zebra!

the tail, by popular opinion from wife, self, and friends is merely cut off.
The eyes, from the moment i saw it, were already gone. lol. They made it look like a cartoon animal that stepped in a fire.

I feel they did a good job for what they had to work with. The taxidermist in Africa that did my work 3 years ago sucked horribly. Not only the zebra hide, but my mounts. I had to have a local taxidermist redo much of his work.
