Which book?
I am looking for a book that is a guide/how to type on how to shoot big game with the focus on the actual shooting skills or techniques. Boddington had his Shots at Big Game but it is no longer available - certainly not in South Africa.

Please recommend any title you may feel will be useful.

Might check Amazon.com, sometimes can find out of print books there for "Shots at Big Game", might also check Boddington's website, I think he sells some of his out of print books there.

Safari Press also has a book out by a former SEAL or some type of Special Forces operator about shooting under pressure. Might gave that one a look.

Found it, written by a Marine who got input from Special Forces operators.

Make it Count by J Scott Olmstead (backordered right now)

Amazon has it for $8.81 plus shipping (used).

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.
