photos of a trophy buffalo
the angle that you use to take a pic is truly very very imporatnt very often a great trophy can look small and a small one can look huge depending on the angle ....These photos all of the same buffalo show just how a photo can distort a trophy image , in some photos this buff looks very average , in some huge …it’s a buff we took last week in massailand , just on 40 inches , 14 inch boss and deep drop – a very nice bull in my opinion , point is , take lots and lots of pics of your trophies and from every angle because there will be a few that are outstanding !!! getting a pic that shows spread boss and drop is not easy !!!

in this sequence I have to say that the skull is what looks most impressive !!!

I have to whole heartedly agree Ivan.
When you remove that big Buffalo and just have the horns it is very impressive.

Nice trophy, no matter what the pictures show.

Congrats.

My favorite is the 6th photo with the client & his bull.
I would name him "OLE SAD FACE".
He is magnificent!

Thanks Ivan. I was going to guess that from the last picture; it is starting to turn green now. I was at Lobo in August. Great camp and area.

Now I know why RA has not responded to an e-mail I sent ten days ago.

Congrats RA and Ivan, but slow down. Three elephants and two buffalo in two countries in less than 90 days is going to wear poor RA out.

You are so right. I never would have thought photos 1 and 5 were of the same buffalo.

So very true.
I do like the above style of pose but darn it can be hard twisting it to such an angle.

Hey Ivan, looks like Lobo is a bit more green than Lokisale was last year!

Did you guys get some of the East African Plains game also, or just the buffalo?

I have to agree about the different shots- some of the photos I had from last year when you were in camp made that 45" bull look small.

Good luck with the rest of your season!

Those old bulls don't have any front teeth left.

Take pics pics and more pics and then a few more. I would have misjudged that bull quite a bit. I did not see him as a 40" buff. I do agree pics are deceiving. The blue wildebeest I shot in Botswana this year is amazingly big and I shot a cull blue as well. Looking at the pics they don't look that much different but they are very much different. Thanks for posting.
