namibiahunterKudu scrotum
I just got mine a few days ago along with some shoulder mounts. I know that some of you have a kudu scrotum that you got from one of your hunts in Africa. What I want to know is what do you use it for?

JOE MACKA friend of mine got a couple large sheep (Dall and Stone) scrotums since he just got shoulder mounts. He proceeded to put some grommets around the top with rawhide string (for want of a better word) to close the bag. He stores his auxillary cylinders from his Ruger convertables in them. He likes them better than the old, red, cloth bags, and gets more comments about them, too.

KarooI've seen a kudu scrotum used as a cover for the gear-shift knob of an old hunting vehicle.

WismonI've heard of deer scrotum being used to hold musketballs.
Seen this:
Soak it until flexible, insert a suitably sized can and allow to dry. Remove the form, trim and use as a great pen holder for your desk.

Andrew McLarenMy trophy buffalo's scrotum was tanned and, with some small holes punched at the top, it was provided with two drawstrings to carry my muzzleloader bullets, premeasured charges, percussion caps and cleaning patches. Also knife, bullet/patch remover and small odds & ends. A real "possibles" bag. A kudu scrotum would serve for all needed for a few shots with most frontloaders.
In good hunting.

bull1Walden & Bork are making a drawstring bag from one of my buffalo scrotums to carry my golf balls in. Sounds appropriate to me.

jorgeHere's a buffalo "bag" performing in the role of a drink "cozy" with the primary role of a "dice" cup
