I would just like to give an unsolicited (and unsponsored) referral for a company that I have been dealing with this past year. We use a few Iridium phones, at great expense but since we have hooked up with Explorer Satellite Communications, based in Florida - our bills have been cut in half (using prepaid). This company and in particular partner Andy Cool (yep - cool name!!) give exceptional A+++ service and they come with my highest recommendation.... if anyone is looking for sat. services, you will not find better.

Thanks guys. That's good info to have. We use a lot of sat phones up in Alaska.

Update!!-- just talked with Andy and he will be at the Reno show -- in Boddington's booth for those that are planning a trip this year and are in need of a phone -- I highly recomend Andy for your Sat phone needs.

I think his time at the show may be limited to Wed - Thursday but stop by and get to know him and his services -- good man-- good service.

Is it just service or does he actually sell sat phones as well? Since I'm new to this area I would like to know, as I have been considering purchasing one.

Andy both sells and leases Sat phones -- I do not want to sound like a paid advertisement here but I am reasonably sure he can provide top to bottom Sat phone services including Sim cards etc --which are required for various parts of the world.
