Just curious on what everyone hears on the weights coming out of Matetsi. Last summer while in Matetsi 2 elephants were streaming across the Botswana border. Just wondering if any of the big bulls cross. I know several operators offer hunts, and personally know that Nigel Thiesen has 2 bulls in Matetsi 3. It would seem a person could possibly get lucky.

I was in unit 1 in 2019 and saw a lot of ele - nothing big - but we saw 100 a day most days.

Hoping to get to over for an elephant in 2025.

I was in Kazuma 2 years ago, which is adjacent.

I could have shot one in the mid 60’s.

Lots of elephants back and forth, but I was holding out for 70+, and primary was lion…

I haven’t heard of a 100# er in the area, only in Bots, but I also suspect some folks keep big ones under wraps with adverse PR.

Maybe Martin Peters would know?
