Sci hippo score

brent ebelingSci hippo score
Good evening. A friend of mine shot a huge hippo while we were hunting with Muchinga in Zambia and we just got a score of 81”. I do not have a record book. Does anybody where that falls in the realm of things
Last I heard was SCI has discontinued scoring hippos.
They did not want to see anything that has a bigger mouth than their Inner Circles Members in the Record Book!

I looked in SCI's online record book. Your friend's hippo might place around # 5.
# 1 in the book is 88 3/16"
Hunting.... it's not everything, it's the only thing.

DCS MemberI’m not that much into scores, ranks, or inches, but I love monsters. If your friend is willing to post a picture, or give you permission, I know many of us would love to see it. Details of the hunt/shot aré bonus points.
Cheers to him.
I meant to be DSC Member...bad typing skills.

376 steyrAnything that can place that high in the record book should be entered into the book just for posterity's sake alone. Have your friend enter it. And please show pictures; hippo skulls make great trophies and are really heavy.

MARK H. YOUNGI have that pic somewhere. I'll see if I can find it. One bottom tusk is way outside of the lip so it never wore off on the upper as they usually do.

MARK H. YOUNGI don't seem to be able to find the hippo in question but it had similar although more dramatic tusk growth than the pictured one.

Bloody hell!
Why bother with pictures then?
Blurring faces and "harvesting" animals!
You just got to love what some people do.
