bwana cecilThe Perfect Client
I put my highest paid employee in prison for stealing from me!
An honest person won't steal simply because they are paid min. wage.
And a thief will steal no matter how much you pay them.
I own 3 retail businesses.
Have had to mortgage my home 3 times in order to get financing for said businesses.
Not ONE TIME did any of my employees go to the bank & help me secure the loans that help make their jobs possible.
Not ONE TIME has an employee come to me & said "I know times are tough now & you're not making the money you were, so you can cut my pay to help out. (I wouldn't do it anyway)
I appreciate my employees & IMHO treat them fairly. If they think not, they are free to go elswhere.
But if I catch them stealing, I'm going to press charges!

bwana cecilThanks Aaron & Yale
This thread has given me a case of the reds.
It started out nicley enough, but went haiwire somewhere along the way.
Dear Cecil:
What drives me nuts is someone declaiming on the absolutes in business when there are no absolutes.
You need a tip top leader at the top, who knows how to take care of employees and customers. And make money to boot.
C'mon even with the best screening, you will have 2-3% of your employees rip you off and 2-3% of your customers piss you off. Sorry, maybe that is an absolute.
Sincerely,
Chris Bemis

Tipping is not any culture in Norway or Europe
It's not a culture in this country either.
The way I see it, in any job not just ones related to hunting, the employer has the responsibility to pay the wages, not me.

Well, I'd still hunt with you. But, if I do, do I have to tip you?????
