Joburg is up on the highveld, most of the hunting is down in the lowveld, 6 hours by vehicle. Close to Joberg we can recommend Braamfontein...all manner of wild animals you can shoot there. But be aware, some of them shoot back.

Define "near".

If you want to hunt in high style on a very large property where you will also find the big five, let me know, I will put you in touch with the right people. If you just want common plains game, there are hundreds of places to go but we don't really work those destinations.

I'd try Jaco.
I've never hunted with him, but read a lot of his post on this site. I think he is honest and runs a good outfit. Never heard a bad word about him. His prices are reasonable.

Check out www.christroskiesafaris.com. Chris Troskie also posts on this forum and is a great guy. I hunted with him earlier this year in Limpopo and had a great hunt. His concessions have plenty of game and he knows how to get you close to them.
