1895winAnyone ever use Nylstroom Taxidermy in S.A?
I have my first African trip planned for this July. For the dip and pack the outfitter recommended Trophy Pro SA. According to their website, they farm out taxidermy work to Nylstroom Taxidermy. What I have been able to find on this company has been favorable. Anyone have any experience with them? I am thinking of three shoulder mounts- kudu, gemsbok, and bushbuck- along with a euro mount or two and a zebra rug if all goes well.

JAUsed Nylstroom on my first trip and they did a good job but I only had them dip and pack. It was ten years ago though.

nopride2I used them in 2005. Shoulder and euro mounts plus a zebra rug. They did a good job.

BNagelGerrit handled our 2001 items. Shoulder mounted warthog is great, as is the plate mount of my warthog (teeth). That said, Kwiktan handled her impala flatskin and it arrived, put up wet, with squares like a picnic tablecloth -- ugh!

LittleJoeI am not familiar with Nylstroom but I know that Paul Smith/Relive Africa does an excellent job. He is based out of Port Elizabeth. Highly recommend.

Pieter KrielIf you intend using Paul do so with a sure heart. He's good for his word.

I have been following them on FB, really nice work!! It would be my choice if I wanted someone in RSA to do them.
