Inside info: only the model 97 is to be stainless, for the foreseeable future.

Well, guess I'll be looking into the Montana Rifleman PH stainless model 1999 for my next African sheep rifle. Se la vie.

Did anyone ever make a stainless Magnum Mauser (true Mauser) action???

Custom gunmaker Stuart Satterlee makes them on a strictly one off basis. I have some correspondence with him and he posts here very occasionally. Hope he comes in here.

M 98

stuart at present is making me a M98 MAGNUM ACTION from pre hardened bar stock he is making ten of them
i think nearly all of them are spoken for ...however he has got some titanium M 98 ACTIONS
you may want to give him a ring if your intrested .....i dont think he is making stainless M98
