I had a problem accessing AR earlier today, and have generally found it to be slower than it used to be when refreshing or making a new post."

Forums slowing down againSome VERY interesting posts from Don.
Also, as of today (Sept. 3), I noticed this banner message at the top of each forum page:
"We have reinstalled our forum software...thank you for your patience."Don: Thanks for all of your hard work in keeping the A/R forums up and running!!!< !--color-->

At home I keep getting a strange page...from INTERLAND, MAKING THE WEB WORK...whenever I try to access AR.
It works fine here from the office...I know a few people had had problems with accessing AR, but none seem to get this strange page that I get."
Check your computer for adware / spyware.

Dr. DucI have a problem when the "Bambi" wallpaper comes up. It won't go any farther.

ErikDI had a problem accessing AR earlier today, and have generally found it to be slower than it used to be when refreshing or making a new post. I know it's not the connection here since all other sites go very quickly.
Maybe AR has some server bugs?

lawndartThe only access problem I have is that when Walter plays with the computers the AR server crashes for about 36 hours.

Anybody else affected?
Have I been hacked? That would have been my guess, if not others had had problems too.

BFaucettFrans,
I'm glad that some of my suggestions were of assistance to you.
"
Made me pretty pissed though to see what kind of intrusions to my privacy have taken place over time. I'm suggesting to reinstate the whip as a means of punishment for these people and I won't mind handling that tool myself for a little while."
Yeah, the Internet is becoming more and more of a "hostile" environment. Things were simpler back in the "old days". I hate all of this virus, spam, spyware, adware crap. It really gets old. I agree with you about the whip.

sincerely,

DRGDr. Duc. When that Bambi background comes up keep hitting the refresh button. That should get rid of that. An old version of the main page had a stenbok as a background but we got rid of it a while ago. Hitting refresh should load the newer version of the web page.
Either that, or delete the files you have stored (tools, options, delete files).

Frans DiepstratenThanks for the suggestions, I installed a few of those, found all sorts of rubbish on my computer, but not until I did an additional search for "Interland", removed a few references to this page AND cleared the cache, did I get back onto AR.

Thanks again for the suggestions...I've learned a lot today.
