Back in from Zim. safe and sound.
AR members,

Just back in from a 2 week stay in Zimbabwe. Had a most excellent hunt with Chifuti Safaris in Chewore North and didn't see, sense, or hear of any kind of unrest going on.

Stayed at the Gecko Gardens one night (highly recommended) and spent the rest of the time in the bush.

Had a great time, got what I was after and will definately be going back.

All guns, luggage, ammo, etc. arrived on time coming and going...

Special thanks to Kathi at "Wild Travel" for going the extra distance!!!

Word to the wise: You get what you pay for. Use only reputable well established operators.

The associated Hotel linked on their web site looks great. It appears to be worthy of a trip to Harare just for a short stay. I have bookmarked it for next year.

Jeff - Thanks for the info. I will be heading there in mid June, hunting with them, staying at Gecko Gardens as well. Good to know all went smoothly. Any additional thoughts will be most welcomed! Cheers.

Jeff, glad to hear all went well and I look forward to hearing about your hunt and some pics. Weather really took a nose dive the first of the week. Hopefully it cooled down in Chewore. David

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."
