shakariJohn,
I don't know about anyone else but I've been semi retired from the field for the last 3 years or so and if Uganda hadn't come up, I'd have been fully retired from the field...... and whatever happens, I'll be hanging up my rifles completely within the next 2 or 3 years. 58 years old is going to my absolute maximum. (I hope)
Between now and then, I'll be doing what I've been doing for th last 2 or 3 years which is hunting a very few clients and running my company for the rest of the time.
But they don't get from this:
To this:
By sitting in the gunsafe.

Totally agree. Bit like chaps who own doubles and shoot beer cans for a living.

There's certainly more left handed people than there are rifles my friend!

I had to order that rifle specially and I think the dealer imported 3. I had one, my friend & hunting buddy Peter Lang had another and someone else took the third.
That must have been getting on for 18 or 19 years ago now and the rifles were orininally in .416 Weatherby. I had mine rebuilt to .500 about 8 years ago and that's when the pic showing it looking pretty was taken.
ADDED
The extended mag was made by the same Peter Lang about 5 or 6 years ago and works a treat. He made it in Wales from the complicated measurements I gave him and then sent it over.
He's a clever bugger and it fitted like a glove!

Fairgame, some of those beer cans are quite dangerous, especially if the guy shooting the cans with his double rifle consumed all the beer that came in them!

Ha ha.
Luckily in Aussie we have beasties like these for practice.
OK, this one wasn't for practice, but for the wall.
Plus donkeys, horses, piggies and more.

Beer cans and paper targets don't run fast enough.
