I am considering hunting the following late August or early September on an 8-10 day bowhunt, plainsgame only.

I have never hunted Africa but my buddy that I would be going with has hunted here before and had a good time. I'm curious about this area in late August/early Sept and if anyone has any direct experience either first-hand or second-hand with the place. The ph is Craig Coppen. Thanks.

I can't tell you anything about the PH or his operation but I can say that the area he hunts in is IMO one of the best in SA. His prices seem in line with others in the area. I would contact several refrences and go from there.

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! That time of the year for bowhunting should be very good. It should be quite dry and the animals should be concentrating at the waterholes. From conversations I have had with friends up there, the area good use some rain right now. Prices seem the going rate.

It's been a very dry year there so the bowhunting in late August-early Sept should be phenomenal. I hunt just south west of there near Thabazimbi. The area is really good for a plains game safari, especially with a bow. I've never heard of this outfit but there are so many that's not a big deal. His rates are great and accommodations look very nice. Like others have said, check out several references, as many as you can from the last year or two and you should be fine.

I would be glad to help you prepare for a bow hunt there, just shoot me a PM or email. I bow hunt exclusively when I'm there. Good luck.
