Interesting to see that the skull was thick enough to stop the arrow. Lucky he didn't get shot in the side of his head. Would have been a different outcome...

I had seen this a few years ago. I never did hear a story about what happened. If he was shot intentionally, with a modern compund bow shooting anyhere around 230 fps+ he'd have been dead. The arrow would have completely penetrated the brain & stuck out the far side if it did not pas through all together.
