D Huntercat taxidermy?
Who does the best cat taxidermy? What positions/poses do you prefer for a leopard? Thanks
Although cartridge selection is important there is nothing that will substitute for proper first shot placement. Good hunting, "D"

vapodogJohnson Taxidermy of North Platte has done some good full body mounts of cougars. Usually they are in a walking or other natural position and surrounded with such things as wagon wheels or old farm machinery.
I'd not hesitate to take my african cat there.

SteveYou should look up Rex Emmerson out of Jefferson, NC as he's local to you. He did my leopard and it is very good.
Here's a thread with photos of it.

MARK H. YOUNGFor a mount that looks like a cat and not something the taxidermist took artistic license with contact Tom Hardesty at Atcheson's Taxidermy in Butte, MT. They specialize in African mounts and their cats are excellent. I have 3 from them and 3 in the works and could not be more satisfied.

gunnyMike Boyce in reno, although pricy , has the most natural cats I ever saw. My leopard is so relaxed looking and my lion is so intense its just like the real thing. Look at his stuff at the reno show as his studio is open and very near the convention center. They even give free shuttles during the show.
