Well I'm off to Angola
We leave Saturday morning 3am. Driving trough Botswana up to Henties baai. Expected to reach the Namibian coast around 10-12 pm. 18 + hours of driving thumbdown

We will spent a couple of days there and then drive up to Angola we should reach our final destination by next Thursday-Friday. Will get as much info as possible on Angola itself and maybe on hunting.

I'll hopefully be back around the 18-19th November. Will post pics and story of course. Big Grin

Good luck on the fishing. Sounds like a nice trip if you can find enough fuel along the way.

Try to find out the myths or facts on the Giant Sable if possible.

Just got back from fishing north of Henties baii, caught some nice Cob and a bunch of sharks.

Never worry about theory as long as the machinery does what it's supposed to do.

Balla balla...read 'A Certain Curve of horn' by John Frederick Walker. He collates over a centuary of enquiry and obsession with the Giant sable, from folklore to genetics. All peppered with Angolan history and poltics until the late 90's...very good read IMO.

Cheers

5 Bronze whaler sharks has been caught so far the smallest 70kg and the largest 88kg. We expect to wet our lines on Sunday morning. We have to take all the supplies from water to toilet paper no shops along the way in Angola 4 vehicles and 10 people in our convoy.

The bronze whaler is a really interesting shark. I understand they can get up to 300kg.
