Jason Glavine ... Jaglav from Reno passed away couple of weeks ago
Just found out from his wife
Man , I just saw him in Reno at SCI and we had great dinner with friends
He was supposed to go to Uganda buffalo hunting when This China virus hit and they got turned around at Chicago airport
I’m so sad tonight
" Until the day breaks and the nights shadows flee away " Big ivory for my pillow and 2.5% of Neanderthal DNA flowing thru my veins.
When I'm ready to go, pack a bag of gunpowder up my ass and strike a fire to my pecker, until I squeal like a boar.
Yours truly , Milan The Boarkiller - World according to Milan
PS I have big boar on my floor...but it ain't dead, just scared to move...
Man should be happy and in good humor until the day he dies...

DLSSad news, indeed. It’s also a great example that we are never promised tomorrow, we have to live life while we can. Imagine if he’d have been able to make that Uganda hunt, the memories he’d have savored over his final months.
May he Rest In Peace.

surefire7Sorry to hear the sad news.
I did not know him, but I hate to hear of AR members passing. I don't think the next generations, be they millenials or Gen Z, are much into hunting as a whole, like we Baby Boomers were. We cannot afford to lose our own, but I know it's inevitable.
I will be 70 on my next birthday and I'm on the backside of 69. Don't know how long many of us will last, but I know we'll put up a good fight and keep hunting until it's our time.
RIP Jaglav.

On to the happy hunting grounds! Many of us old codgers are simply a step away from joining him At 83 turning to 84 in April, the last line,in bold print, at the bottom of this post by me says it all, enjoy wife and family, and hunting while you can. I just hope there isn't a ban of big bore double rifles in the happy hunting grounds.
..............................................REST IN PIECE old friend!

TREE 'EMJason was a good man and an absolute pleasure to be around.
We were booked to hunt Mozambique together this year but covid put us off till next year. I was crushed to hear I’d never share a camp with him again.
I don’t know the exact cause of death but his mother stressed that it was not covid related.
