VarmintGuyMan Kills Leopard - Bare Handed!
http://www.iol.co.za/index.php?set_id=1&click_id=68&art_id=qw1119446101927B232I have enclosed the above link to this amazing story from near Mt. Kenya in Africa!
I hope the link works for this amazing story!
I have never seen a Leopard in the flesh (except at the zoo!) but I have seen several documentary stories on the television that show the amazing strength (per pound) of these beautiful cats!
I have seen Mt. Lions in action though and as with all of the great cats they are amazingly powerful.
This man is lucky to be alive!
Hold into the wind

475GuyMan, that old dude was lucky he wasn't dis-emboweled with those nasty claws. I guess his will to survive was much stronger than the leopard's.
Lo do they call to me,
They bid me take my place
among them in the Halls of Valhalla,
Where the brave may live forever.
These stories are getting wilder all the time ! I would have cut into the neck of the leopard with the machete [ panga ?] or thrust into the throat. Maybe Juan can tell us how .

nainitalIn the early years of the XX Century Prof. Carl Akeley killed a wounded leopardess with his bare hands (kneeling and breaking her ribs). Also Glen Cottar killed 2 leopards with his bare hands, I assume also wounded.
An amazing feat, no doubt.
I presume that most leopards do not attack to kill but only to give you a face left and tummy tuck. If a full grown male leopard came to kill you that would be the end of it, regardless of your courage, will to live, and all that other bullshit.

MikelravyI always assumed that it was a matter of hanging on to a severely wounded cat until it died as opposed to killing it bare handed. I dare someone to kill an unwounded house cat with their bare hands and see what happens.
Just the thought of tackling a house cat gets me the willies. Not many dogs have enough nerve. But shotguns are usually quite effective.

Don't believe everything you read in print. This story could be true, but I for one, do not believe it. CHEERS
