I would like to encourage everyone to maybe expedite the process a little. Near as I can tell, the DVD is only with the 7th person on a list of about 30 people. That means only six people have watched it in over three months. A lot of people have the ability to dupe the DVD, or access to someone who can. If you are going to be unable to watch the DVD within the next several weeks of recieving it, maybe a "timeshift" would be appropriate, or forwarding and adding your name at the end. At this rate, the DVD will not make the rounds before the next one is out.

I have the 4 DVDs and will be forwarding them to 475/480 this weekend. They are boring as hell and will nearly put you to sleep.

Tell us how you really feel Perry. Never having been to Africa I found them very interesting. I am something of a people watcher also so the interactions and antics were especially fun for me to see.

Thank you for posting about your sending them forward.

The DVDs didn't cost me anything so I have no reason to complain and it was very gracious of Saeed to make these available free of charge...but since you ask.

Minute after minute of stalking buffalo in the long grass to finally get to watch Saeed make LONG one shot kills. Goofiness without humor from Walter. R rating for the language used by Pierre Van Tonder during Saeed's hunt with him. Poor sound quality. TOO much air time for birds and other un-interesting sights. Not enough close-ups or longer scenes of game animals, especially of the kill shots. No educational value, no tribal life and very little local culture. One was left with the impression that there were no black trackers and the blacks only popped up out of the ground when a beast was dead. Very little camp life and no tape on the other hunters and thier trophies. I liked the earlier hunt tapes much better and prefer to view an edited version. One can only stand so much waving grass, Saeed's and Roy's backsides, giggling camera work, whispered conversation, running and the sounds of grass crunching during the many failed stalks.

If you want to see a good personal hunt video, lay your hands on a copy of 450 NE #2's video of his Zim hunt from 2004 or one of Saeed's Zim or RSA videos from a few years ago.

Thanks Perry. I would love a look at Tony's DVD if you have a copy. Ian told me about it at DSC but it never came up for circulation.

I viewed the last DVD last night and it contained all the elements I thought were missing from the others. It is the one covering the river crossing, Walther cooking, a big dude getting a Weatherby eyebrow and the shooting contest. Excellent!!!

The DVDs have been forwarded to 475/480 and I have PMed him this information.

If anyone has the ability to dupe the DVDS let me know and I will send you a $20 bill for the DVDs and postage to my FPO.

I got left out last year, and I would like to see what I missed.

I do have it. Being 4 discs takes a lot more time to copy one-to-one. I have it ready. I am sending to your mailing address that was PM'd to me.
Would you do me a favor and go to the western states list and remove your name as well as you name on this list. I think it will avoid some confusion from new folks signing up.

Thanks and I hope you enjoy them. Share with everyone you can.

Please add my name to the list. If I understand correctly, when my turn comes up someone will send me a PM requesting my address. So I guess all I need to do now is sit back and wait expectantly.
