Back in from Zim.
Everybody,

Just got back in from Zim with no incidents to report.

Hunted up on the Zambezi Escarpment.

1)Excellent weather -40-50s at night, 80s day.
2) Very few Insects
3) No hassles from locals, police / gov't. officals.
4)Flights on time.
5)Excellent PH and tracker (Loveld Hunters, Inc, Janni Meyer).
6)Survived point blank Dugga-boy charge with nobody hurt, except the 'ole boy!
7) No $$ Surprises at end of hunt - everything went off acording to plan.

Thanks to: Kathi Klimes of wild travel who went beyond the call of duty to make sure that we had no snags in our travels - "Thanks K"!!!

Ray Atkinson for all of his sage advice on "Safari'n".

John Rigby and Co., who in 1920
made the .470 NE DR that saved my ass!

Federal & Woodleigh for making components / ammo that allowed the Rigby to save my ass!

Jon Thomas of Gun Sport Ltd, Odessa, TX for getting all of my weapons related issues sorted out (he sold me the rifle & ammo).

Everybody on this forum for putting up a lot of great and useful information - made this "Greenie" a little less green!

Saeed: For putiing up this most excellent resource.

Stephen Meyer & team from "Loveld Hunters" for making it all happen; one hell of a great bunch of folks, no BS, excellent service from start to finish and to Steve: Thanks for keeping it cool when the S#!T hit the fan!!!

Where to next!!!?

Glad to be back - thanks all!

Hey Jeff,

Welcome back to summer in Texas! It sounds like a great hunt.....but a close call. I'll look forward to the "rest of the story" and some photos!

Congrats,

Bob
