Last one was Hunters Hill, East Cape booked thru agent on this site!! All went well!!, also a Bird Hunt from Johannesburg booked directly with PH... went well... on and on!!

Quit diverting the thread off Baldry and Ibi. They are the problem.
As to paying in full ahead of time - I wouldn’t name names either. My relationship with them is not your business or anyone else’s. Right now, I have booked a hunt with an extremely high quality and high character outfitter that I have made no deposit. I went back and checked , I have been in 30+ guided hunts, less t he an half gave I paid all up front. So, you are making a broad statement that does not match my experience.
Back to the point - Ibi and Baldry need to pay up!

He then won the second tender and this was the situation when Andrew was communicating with Corey. While Andrew was away in the bush hunting a business enemy of Ibi brought a court injunction putting the second tender on hold. This was the first that anyone knew that there was a problem.
As neither Corey nor the infamous Ibi have responded to any form of communication from Andrew he is unable to influence Ibi in any way other than as a witness in the ongoing legal investigation.
Continual invective on this forum is a waste of time until the legal process is complete.
Clearly there are those with their own agenda who are out to destroy the reputation of a very fine PH. Some are business rivals, some are friends of Corey, which is fair enough, some are ignoring the facts and a few are just schoolyard bullies.
The sooner this whole sorry affair is settled in court and Corey gets his money back, the better.

the Pom - no one is trying to destroy a reputation. We are pointing the finger at the two who took money, did not provide the hunt, then did not refund the money when others were refunded.
That is the point. Baldry acted as agent for Ibi - sold the hunt - directed the money be sent to Ibi- then watched as others got reimbursed and not this client.
Saeed is asking for financial details on other people's hunts. What???? 470, myself and others have been to Africa and know the drill. We make our deals with REPUTABLE people and pay them as agreed, then they provide a hunt as agreed. This did not happen here. Deflecting on how I pay for my hunts or others is smoke.
For the life of me I cannot understand why Saeed and a few others think Baldry is not a culpable here. He bashes Mark Sullivan, Cal Pappas and others over how they hunt buffalo, yet gives a pass to Baldry over this debacle. Double standard for sure.

Has this thread and the others been enlightening? Absolutely.
Occasionally, little tidbits of new information come out . While informative, none of it changes my opinion.
I have personally never heard of a complaint about any hunt that Andrew has conducted. By all accounts, he is a fine PH. However this issue is not about his skills as a PH.
The fact of the matter is that Andrew contacted Corey . Absent this contact , none of this would have ever happened. That is an absolute fact.
Can trust be placed in someone who knew or should have known that a hunt they sold and was going to be the PH was not going to happen ? The true believers will ignore this . Others will find it a massive problem.
This thread is not going to change anyone’s mind on this matter .
