Our 2021 Season officially kicked off during the first week of April! We are so blessed to have so many loyal friends to make the effort to get over here.

I always try to use enough gun but then sometimes a brainshot works just as good.

bwanamrmSome unique trophies there! Well done. Nice to see a slow return to normalcy...
On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Thank you very much. Caracal was hunted over hounds. A few close calls, but managed to be successful on day 3.
Some of the areas we tried had too many Jackal which confused the dogs.

KMG Hunting SafarisWhat do you say? Take him?
Some might suggest wait for a couple of years until the tips start the outward turn.

Thank you for the comment, sir. Not all bulls will turn outward, just like not all bulls will turn forward, with upward pointing tips.
Some bulls will stay at what we call a "figure 8", some bulls will have forward pointing tips, and then the least common are the outward flair at the top.
This has more to do with genes than age.

That would be a great hunt. I have shoot a large caracal at night as a target of opportunity while out spotlighting. Hunting them with hounds is really appealing.

Very lucky to get one by chance. In all my life, I've only shot one without the help of hounds.

KMG Hunting SafarisNice Blue Wildebeest hunted by bow on foot. Walk and stalk hunting with the bow requires a lot of preparation, the correct gear and a lot of patience. Don't forget practice, practice and more practice.

KMG Hunting SafarisBeautiful Zebra taken also by walk and stalk. A week out before our hunter arrived in camp, we had massive, late rains, which made sitting in the blinds challenging. Hunter was shooting a Mathews V3 in 31.5". Finding the animals in a spot that is approachable is number 1 priority.
