Madona and her husband, just took delivery of two top of the line shotguns made for them by H&H! They are both bird hunters, and live in England, where the most rabbid anti hunters, and anti gun idiots live. Cudos for her, and her husband! I'm not fond of her morals, but at least she cows to no one, she does her thing, and damn those who don't like it!

Mac, I think her morals are fine its her public image is where the problem is. In her defence it isnt like it was 20 years ago. Like so many other famous people they are a brand, not themselves. Its great that she is out there like she is, in sharp contrast "Pink" some othe popular singer is a PETA nut telling all the kids dont hurt animals etc. in the PETA sort of way.

Sylvester Stallone is listed above as being a "hunter."

No way. He's not only anti-hunting, but extremely anti-guns owned by us worker peasants and serfs. He has called for a Gestapoesque confiscation of our firearms, and supports the anti-gun communist front organizations. (Not HIS guns, of course!)

He's a raving hypocrite and prime member of that particular Hollywood phenomenum I call "The Mega Millionaire Marxists and Billionaire Bolsheviks."

(Don't know about his brother, Frank.)

Howdy folks, awoke early so on line before going out hunting.

Great thread.

On the one level Madonna and Guy Richie are helping promote the sport. On another level they are promoting the wrong sort of sport. A bunch of people are going into driven game shooting (ie 'bird hunting') with not a clue of what the quarry is, no interest in dogs and quite frankly wouldn't know a brace of pheasents unless they were vacuum packed. As a result of this ignorance they are into the numbers scene with some huge bags which are gradualy leaking to the press.

But there is no doubt that monied, influential 'New Labour' types shooting is good news on the whole.

U.S. Senator Tom Daschle. The last guy I expected to hear was a hunter:

Well include in those you would never believe to be hunters Jane Fonda. You may not like her politics or what she said and did nearly forty years ago, but she is a hunter of birds and deer. Serious enough to have a custom rifle built for her.

Regarding the losses, though, this year was hard on the generation ahead of us. I lost my dad, and it brought home real hard that they have passed us the baton. I sure hope we are half as good as they were. They over came the Great Depression, beat the Nazis and the Japs, came home and gave us the greatest peace time expansion any nation ever had, and some got to give an encore performance in Korea. And like Ted Williams, never complained about what a raw deal they got. No wonder every body is writing books about them. May light perpetual shine on them. Ku-dude

I don't know, I met Frank Stallone at the SCI Convention a couple of years ago. He said it was his second or third time. He is a Bow hunter and sometimes rifle user and he said his brother was a bow hunter and would like to come there but was nervous about the crowds.

That shouldn't be a problem as most celebrities are left alone and not bothered. I understand one of them complained about the lack of attention last year and wanted a bodyguard so people would recognize him.
