The 2013-14 season, BTW not interested in hunting over hounds. Have successfully cat hunted in Zambia

Suggest you try Nick Nolte. He stays close to 100% on leopard and has great plains game too. He and Isabel have first class facilities and seemingly unlimited access to anywhere leopards are currently working.

You might want to look at Sebra Hunting Safaris As a landowner he gets one CITES permit per year and if he fills that (which he does every year) his father who owns the property next door gets one too that he can use.

Been going there every year for the past six years and we cut tracks every day. I haven't hunted Leopard as it is not on my wish list. He sent me a photo of another big Tom a client took just a few weeks ago.

I would recommend Omujeve Safaris, I have personally taken 2 leopards with them during one trip. They are experts and are 100% on cats for the past 2 yrs I believe. You can see my story below. I have a good friend who recently shot a leopard there a month ago, and have another friend who's leaving in two weeks for his leopard hunt.

Dog hunting isn't legal in Namibia anymore, so that's not an option. These guys put tons of effort into the baiting before you arrive. I had 20+ days trail-cam photos when I arrived.

It's always a gamble, but these guys surely stack the chips in your favor. Everyone I've known that has hunted with them, have gotten their cats.

I work with Nick Nolte. Lot of guys in Namibia who hunt Leopard, He's one of only a small hand full of really good options for Leopard in Namibia.

I do recognize there are other guys who produce good cats too, so not putting down any of the others here, just want to be clear.

Nick Nolte is definitely one of the best Leopard hunters in Namibia!His success rate is one of the highest in the country.

I second what m3taco says about Sebra Hunting Safaris. I hunted there this August, and there is leopard spoor everywhere. Beautiful country, fantastic food, and warm, friendly people. I'm going back in May 2013.

Gerard Erasmus at gerard@sumsare.net supposedly has taken the largest in Namibia.
I hunted Zim and Namibia with him in July but not for Leopard.

Westfalen Safaris is part of the same Loxodonta Africana conservancy so there is no surprise that there are likely plenty of Leopard to be found with them as well. John Van Der Westhuizen grew up his huge property so, not surprisingly, knows it and the game like the back of his hand. It is certainly a different ball game relative to say "non-ranch" areas of Zim or Zambia or TZ but I would not hesitate to hunt with John for anything. Last year we actually saw leopard right off the road at dusk. Now, getting "educated" ranch cats on bait is a completely different matter, but it can certainly be done as John is every bit as wily as any Leopard.

Please understand that hunting Leopard in most areas of Namibia is a different ball of wax compared to Zim or TZ or Zambia so you should ABSOLUTELY NOT pay really high daily rates as in these other countries. The way to approach Leopard in most areas of Namibia is to go in with the idea that you are on a really nice plains game safari for unique species like Dik Dik or Mountain Zebra (and be content with that!). You should be hunting Leopard at near plains game daily rates but with a hefty trophy fee for the cat. In this manner, the outfitter has a very strong incentive to see you be successful. I think it often happens in Namibia that a whole series of hunters might pay high daily rates for the same cat that is rarely (if ever) taken. Any outfitter in a ranch area of Namibia who insists on very high daily rates for Leopard is suspect in my opinion. If a guy wants $550 or so per day and about a $7500 fee for the cat, then you probably have an honest outfitter! If the guy wants $900 per day and a $3500 fee...RUN!

I would highly recomend Nic and Corne at Omujeve just as Oryx has said. They have a great reputation and put a huge amount of time and effort into it. I will be there in one week for an Ele hunt and there will be a hunter from the same party there hunting Leopard as well. I will report on the results when I return.

+1 to Nic and Corne as well. Riverman will be there at the end of the month and has spent months with the Kruger's. I hope to put the finishing touches on a safari with them in the Caprivi at SCI.

Here is another recommendation for Omujeve. Excellent pre baiting and preparation prior to my arrival. Had a wonderful and successful hunt for leopard. Accommodations are first rate. Also, paperwork was meticulously done for trophy importation.

I tried to reach Mr. Nolte by email without success, not sure what is going on.

Sometimes it takes several weeks for Isabella (?) to answer.

Another good PH is Fritz Nolte, Nicky's brother. Nolte Elite Safaris, IIRC.

I have the good fortune of having hunted with Nick Nolte and with Nic and Corne Kruger and can heartily endorse both operations.

I took a great leopard with Nick and my family remains friends with the Noltes.

I hunted with Nic and Corne in 2006 when hunting was still occurring at Erindi and they are of the highest quality. I did not take leopard with the Krugers in 2006 but would have no hesitation in booking a leopard hunt with them. Very professional.
