I'd kick the dog out of the yard & put the cat in. Seems like a much better watch dog than what she has.

ScriptusGood for the cat, three cheers from this side. Actually, I would like to send it to Montreal. If he is a tom, he will be quite safe.

CharlesLMoral of the story. Don't kick snow at a cat. If you want to get rid of a stray then show it you mean business. Kick it across the road.
Actually I like cats. They have more personality and are more independent. It almost looked like she was trying to scare off the cat because it was scaring her dog.

georgeldYep, and that cat showed it's personality huh?
She got what she deserved this time.
Some yrs ago a "stray/feral cat" got hit by a car out front. Thinking it was a neighbors I went to help it. When I reached for it, damned if it didn't lunge at me and grabbed my wrist. About that time the animal control showed up. She used a choker pole.
I doctored the bites and sure as hell, got a bad infection from the bites on both sides of my arm. They put the cat down due to internal injuries. Took a couple weeks for the upper vein in my arm to clear up. Doc said it was serious infection.
Don't make the same mistake I did with an injured cat!! Oh yeah, lesson from this video, "don't kick snow at one either!"

Matt NormanI'm not a cat guy, but a tip of the hat to that particular one. Does go to show that any critter that comes equipped with teeth and claws can probably use them. This guy a little better than most.
That said, if that was my castle and my female taking a whooping like that, I'd be obligated to deal with Mr. Cat. Afterwards me and the wife would have a chat about putting herself in that kind of a situation. And the dog would have some real explaining to do about what he's doing around the camp earning his rice bowl.

shakariAs I see it, the woman was giving the cat shit for no good reason & she got exactly what she deserved from the cat & quite honestly, I reckon she also deserved a good, hard boot up the arse to underline the fact there's no good reason to treat any animal that way.
Poetic justice in my eyes.

sdirksI have managed at least three with a 12 ga slug while deer hunting. One was a running head shot. The damned things belong in people's houses, not out in the woods.

My guess is this is a feral/stray cat that she was trying to push away from her. Wrong course of action really!! Dont enderestimate the power of the pussy!!
