Leaving for Zim on Monday
Leaving for Zim on Monday
After two years of planning and saving; Highbrass (on AR), and three other buddies are heading to Zim for some DG hunting with Safari Trackers Zimbabwe.
Highbrass and myself have been to the range almost every other weekend, my 416 Rigby and his 450 NE are dead on. I'm in the best shape since I played rugby, and I've watched Boddington on Buffalo 2 so many times I can recite it word for word.
Now its time to have some fun and enjoy it all. Promise to post a proper report when I get back.

bwanamrmShoot straight and have a great time!
On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
- Rudyard Kipling
Life grows grim without senseless indulgence.
I can feel your excitement - go get 'em!

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.
-Seth Peterson
With that much practise you will have no excuses, but don't feel pressured. Have fun

HighbrassOne is fortunate in life to have friends to share the great experiances and spouses that understand the dreams of their significant others. We have a great group in the mix and I am looking forward to the mopane smoke mixed with lively conversation a bit of libation and a fine cigar. What the old comercial " it doesn't get any better than this" Hope to have some great pics and a report to share upon our return.

jetdrvrEnjoy! All that practice will pay off in spades. Same with being in shape.
I'm walking 6 to 8 miles a day for my hunt coming up and to the range twice a week. Knock 'em dead.
