Bryan ChickGun case
We have two americase cases and they have made the trip across the pond at least 6 times and I have never experienced any damage to my firearms. We would not leave home without one.

maxbearWell I want to thank everyone for there responses. I ordered a Starlite case today. The more I think about all this I might just need 2 cases...........maybe...maybe not... One to ship guns to the gunmaker and one to take with me to Africa.
I used the search button, and came up with alot of useful information as well. I even found a few posts from '500Grains' on the subject of cases.
Does anyone have a Americase 2 gun safari case?
I went on the Americase website today and I could not find the 2 gun safari case I purchased many years ago being offered....big shock as I own one and it is disappointing at best.
The new case is similar to my current Zeigel.
Some things about Americase is the divider board between the gun is not uniform across the top but set up so you must put your scoped rifles in as they show on their webpage. The foam glued onto this board(s) is very very thin and provides IMO little shock absorbing capability. The reason you must put the rifles in as the divider allows is there is not enough room to put both rifles facing in the same direction. The guns are almost jammed into the case when inserted (they cannot have their bolts in at all). The safari case I have is a clam shell design which I have said in previous posts has failed to deliver.
Lastly I mentioned in a previous post that my partners case actually failed. If you go to Americase's homepage you will note the the gun cases in the front of the picture that have the dark side (it's the pistol case on top of a rifle case on the right). The dark area is not metal. It is some kind of very tough composite material but when we collected our gun cases in New York, my partners case had a two inch hole punched clean through that material. How it missed his rifles (it was a double flat rifle case) was a miracle. My double rifle case also has this material. From the website it appears the AT2 safari case does not have this material from what I can see.

You won't be sorry with the starlight. I know the upgraded foam is expensive, but it is worth it IMO.

maxbearThe reason I bought the Starlite is because it's SOLE PURPOSE is to protect the rifle. So they say.
It is surounded by foam. Yes, I bought the upgraded foam.
