North Fork posted an offer of a discount for those who follow them on facebook.

Which is basically an advert for facebook.

There was no mention of any discount to AR members, so that post was deleted.

There was some talk on that thread about BillC and some naked old man photos.

I was hoping that is why it got deleted.

The photos I saw looked very much like the photos of an elephant hunter I saw in a book with a red cover.

He looked quite out of place standing among all those around him, despite the fact all were stark naked.

I did see a few women there too. Some looked very young, and some looked almost as old as the elephant hunter.

I wish someone would tell us the real story behind that photo.

Only to FACEBOOK members.

North Fork should have posted that offer on facebook, not here.

You offered a discount to facebook members, forgetting to give the same discount to AR members, while posting your offer on AR.

I really see no reason to allow an advert for facebook to remain on this forum.

You are welcome to post your offer again, as long as you offer the same discount to AR members.

Saeed is exactly correct. There was no discount offer to AR, only to Facebook members. I wouldn't join Facebook for a dozen discounts. Couldn't understand why it was posted here on AR.

I think it was an honest mistake in that he was letting AR users who also use facebook know they could get a small discount. I agree with Saeed though; no discount for the forum users on which a (sort of) ad was placed is not fair use of a private forum.

I would not sweat being wrong, we all are from time to time. It would be a nice jesture to offer the same discount here as on facebook...seems reasonable to me.
