<Belarus>Lion hunt
On my way back home I had to spend Saturday night in Munich. I turned on the TV and found a decent show about lions. As I recall the channel was WDR. Unfortunately the show was in German so I could not get all of the details. They had some most impressive footage of a lion hunt. The hunter shot the lion initially at 75 yards or so. The next scene is taken from above and behind the huunter as if the cameraman was in a tree. The lion is charging the hunter at full speed. When the lion is about three bounds away the hunter takes the first shot. Then another shot at two bounds away and a final shot while the lion is making his last bound and lunge for the hunter. The lion ends up landing on the hunter. Judging by the next scene the hunter must have finally finished the lion as he is up and walking around apparently none the worse for wear. What impressed me most was the fact that the lion never showed an indication of being hit or turning from his victim. There was no visible flinch just the lion charging ahead like a well armed freight train. They are quite an impressive beast.

T.CarrThe video of the lion attacking PH Peter Chipman is the same way. The lion has "locked on" to Peter and shows no response to the multiple rifle shots it absorbs.
Amazing animals those lions.
