Good luck hunting in Tsavo dancing
But I too agree that a hunt in Tsavo would be something to cry for.......

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Yep and I sure hope he holds steadier than that when he takes a shot. Wink

Gotta admit he looks odd, kinda like the old bull on Roger Raglin's old blackpowder video. I like the looks of the whopper in Daktari's book tho...

Will his boss get bigger as he gets older? I hate a narrow boss on cape buffalo. I can get flat narrow horns from the Water buffalo. A cape buffalo's character is so much based on a big boss & deep hooks apart from spread.....JMHO.

Superb buffalo... one hopes he dodges lions and other predators to spread his genes and eventually falls to a lucky hunter when he is in his last years! As an aside did the guy on the video call his horns antlers or was I mistaken....

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Someone ought to dart that thing and put him in a breeding farm. Definitely too young to shoot and, to be honest, I find the horns almost grotesque, they're so long. Give me a boss down to the eyebrows and heavily broomed tips any day.

The one that was with him looked good also. Too wide for me, I want a bit of dip and curl. I hope I get to hunt them one day.
