No sir. All hunted by rifle. The photo of the young Blesbuck with the hunter posing with handgun, was hit with a ricochet from the first Blesbuck he shot. Took us 2.5 days to catch up and identify him, after finding him all by himself on top of a hill. Got another rushed shot into him after getting bust by Kudu and him starting to move.
Found him lying down. Gave my Sig Sauer P320 to the hunter for the Coup de Grace. As we got around the bush, he was lying there, jumped up and the hunter duly dispatched him on the run with a double tap...

Bwana338Great story on the pistol...
I was just thinking the guy was a good shot if they were taken with a hand gun.

After seeing him handle the pistol, I suggested that to him...

BaluleThe Vaalie shot with a bow?

KMG Hunting SafarisMartinus,
Not this one. That same PH in the photo shot one with his bow last year, on walk and stalk.
I speak under correction, but think he is only the 5th in history to do that.
Missed two on the first two days in heavy wind, I think at 68 and 72 yards and got his ram on the 3rd day at 38 yards.

BushchookNice photography.
The hunting imperative was part of every man's soul; some denied or suppressed it, others diverted it into less blatantly violent avenues of expression, wielding clubs on the golf course or racquets on the court, substituting a little white ball for the prey of flesh and blood.

KMG Hunting SafarisThank you for the kind words Gents. Running a little bit late with the updates. Took me a while to figure out after photobucket went out the window.

Indeed. Hunter made an excellent shot, through a small window with his .416Rigby. One of the things I really appreciate, is seeing hunters prepare for a hunt, and take those half chances.
