Is she wearing white gloves? If so, she definitely seems to be an old school southern belle.

Oh and, nice trophies!

Just a fine lady with impeccable manners who keeps traditions that are not commonly honored today. Oh, and they are found south of the Mason-Dixon line in the former Confederate States. Cool

I think they might be those sunblocker gloves usually used by saltwater fly fishermen. UV protection & skin cancer preventative.

Yes, they are few and far between these days, sadly enough.

White gloves were and are worn up north, too, among some folks. But much of that was dropped in the late '60s and into the '70s.

The bull is beautiful!

The client was from Houston, so...

In that case, she is a fine Southern Lady.

Ladies in my family used to wear 'em... colors changed with the seasons (never white before some certain date in the spring; I always wondered what happened when one traveled to the southern hemisphere...)

I blame it on the blarsted Kennedy bog trash. When JFK refused to wear a hat for his inaugural he set America up for a generation of skin cancer and the gloves should have been kept, too. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Hats are coming back. Maybe gloves are the future instead of the past. Gosh, do you think good manners might even follow?

Sarge, I think you're right. But Jackie always wore the right thing -- pillbox hats, gloves, etc. It was the guys who shed their hats. But the KIDS -- they shed almost everything else...

She looks to be about the right age to have lived through all of that, and young enough to have been at risk. The gloves make me miss my folks...

Gentlemen

I didn't notice the gloves but I did notice a fine buffalo, two nice piggies and is it a puku? Smiler

One tusk on that wartie is very nice.

I did notice two fine sets of bosses however. Wink

Looks like he is using an original pre 64 Model 70. 300 H&H or 375 maybe? Do you know what caliber?
