MARK H. YOUNGI DIDN'T KNOW AND I NEVER THOUGHT OF IT.
Folks,
I had a Chinese guy come out to check my AC unit yesterday. He is not a hunter but was full questions. In the course of the conversation the topic of elephants came up and he said that there are herds of wild elephants in China. AND they cull the cows periodically to keep their numbers manageable and out of the farmer's fields. He also said that they use a helicopters to herd the elephant back into the reserve. None of this is news but I didn't know there were wild elephant in China and that there was this type of game management effort.

A lush tropical forest that stretches for about 241,000 hectares - about one and a half times the size of London - it is home to most of Yunnan's endangered Asian elephants.
