mehulkamdarYou won't believe how many idiots considered him a hero - from fanatical Tamil groups who wanted to secede from India to some stupid models who told television channels that they thought he was sexy and were sad to see him go... If you do a search on "Veerappan" on Google's Indian mirror site www.google.co.in you would get all the news about this thug in full gory detail. It does look as if Human Rights Watch Asia consider him a greater hero than the policemen who finally got him.
Sad but it is just another comment on the times we live in, I guess.
