My son is going to be working near the airport in Charleston,SC, for about
6 months. Any info concerning places to stay and maybe more importantly, where not to stay would be appreciated. I spent lots of nights at the airport in hotels but he is going to need something like Candlewood or
the like. Thanks for any help.

I'm checking with some folks who live near
Charleston. The Int'l AP is near Rt 526 and
Rt 26 Intersection, yes? The people I'm waiting
on live S/W of Charleston proper as I recall.

There are several apartment complex's on Glen McConnell Parkway off of I-526 in what they call West Ashley. I lived their for a year, nice area, not to far to the airport or downtown.

Better to go North instead of South. Just south of the airport area is North Charleston (hellhole). Tell him to look in Summerville, Ladson or Goose Creek.
