PeterMike, what else is available in that area? Success rates for Leopard in that area?
Thanks, Peter.

miketaylorHi Peter
At the monent i am only doing Leopard hunts and Plainsgame hunts.
My outfitter has only just got the hunting rights for that ranch. I do know that if you hunt with dogs it will greatly increase the chance of success. I will see if my outfitter can send me the success rates for that area.
I will get back to you soon.

Bill CMike - I think Peter is wondering what plainsgame is available in that area, and next question obviously what are the trophy fees. And with the leopard, do you know the dog handlers fees, and cost of bait animals?
Also, those of from the US are very concerned in regards to who owns the concession, so that we unknowingly do not hunt on land controlled by individuals on the "US Banned List". As such, it would be a good idea if you could post this also, and verify yourself that there would be no issues in this respect.
Generally speaking, the more information you can provide with your offers, the better for all parties (all costs including transfers and dip/pack, VAT, trophy fees for game on quota, bait costs, concession, company, PH if known, chance of success, etc).

zimbabweI have a friend who has a tribal concession in the Turk Mine area and I have hunted extensively in that area. They have nice Kudu,Eland,Impala,Tsessebe,Steenbuck,Wildebeest and Duiker. Have also seen Grysbok but very rarely. The only 60" Kudu I have seen was killed in that area. Have no idea what the fees are but the Leopard are very good and success rate is high. Have not been there in 2 years however so may have changed some.

This is a major concern. Any game taken from these "seized" areas are banned from being imported into the country (US). If you are caught in violation your entire trophy collection, guns etc., can be confiscated. It sounds like a great offer, but hopefully Mike can verify it's an open area. I had a friend that lived in Turk Mine years ago. The area yields a lot of gold....nuggets. LDK

miketaylorHi Peter
Here is the Plainsgame avaliable
Eland $1400
Waterbuck $1600
Impala $175
Baboon Free
Sable $3300
Kudu $1200
Warthog $350
Bushpig $350
Giraffe $1600
Jackel $75
Also there are Zebra, Wildbeast, Reedbuck, Bushbuck and Tsetsebe. The prices depend on how late in the season the hunts take place. The later in the season the more the prices drop.
Baits nontrophy can be taken at $75 per animal.
Dip/Pack is a local company who have proven themselves very reliable and efficient. $850
If you want to hunt with dogs the price would range from $1500 up to $3500 for their services depending on who it is.
Guys
In answer to your questions.
The area in which they hunt is council land and privately owned land. There are NO problems with the government or Land Invaders.
I hope this answers your questions

miketaylorHi Peter
If you require anymore info on these hunts let me know. I have just emailed my outfitter to see if the one left for this year is still avaliable. I do still have six avaliable for next year.
Its a very large area spanning about 250000 acres in and around the turk mine area.
