Now, you can easily figure out how to go to the web site and just read what animal this is. I personally consider that to be cheating, and that is exactly what I had to resort to.

Call me ignorant. I'm one big cow-like animal less ignorant than I was this morning.

Kinda reminds me of the one's Lorenzo hunts in Uraguay. I'd say it has Asian origins (ie. some strain of Asian buffalo). Does the website say where he hunted it?

Cheers,
Canuck

Looks like one of Obanion's water buffalo he sells hunts for in Florida! The background also looks like Florida, as well! Confused

Appears to be an Asian buffalo of the "river type", bubalus bubalis. I'd guess Florida, too.

Asian water buffalo come in a whole variety of weird-looking horn shapes, that's one.

Yes, you are all right.

I was looking for some information on 45 and smaller caliber muzzle loading rifles. I stumbled onto this page. I sat and scratched my head, and finaly I spotted the animal identification about the third time I read the last paragraph. I have no idea where the animal was shot. The picture is at:

Yes, that's the type you can find more often in South America. I don't recognize the trees, too high and straight compared with our native forest, here they are more acacia type (thornbush), so I guess must be somewhere in the US.
Nice animal, don't seems too old but it's a nice trophy.

Marmosets. Are you gonna be quibbly and insist on which type?

Sorry guys.

This one, I can't help you out with. They may very well be marmosets or poodles or your ex-mother in law.

I should have written it down or bookmarked the link or something. I looked up a completely unrelated news story, and they had a link there where you can scroll through the day's 10 or 20 interesting pictures in the news. This was one of those pictures. It had the name of them there.

Oops.
