THAT is the most ridiculous statement I've heard here since the use of lever 45/70s on elephant. Incidentally, the armed forces jsut finalized thier new requirements to replace the M-9. It's called the "Joint Combat Pistol." it call for a return to the 45 ACP cartridge and with minor mods it's a 1911 clone. The best firearm EVER designed for combat use. jorge

gerrys375I always liked reading Kathi's posts because she always gave this one time traveler to Africa (regrettably) a sense of what was going on now in Africa. Also a nice lady, I'm sure. (Us old men are allowed to say that)

dukxdogKathi handled my travel to Namibia in Sept '06. I had lots of things go wrong due to plane malfunction, missed connections and lost luggage. Kathi was on the phone with me at every stop. She had connections waiting for me and also was a great help in making sure I received my lost baggage.
I can't say enough about how well she handled my unforseen problems. She is arranging my flight itinerary right now for my Buff hunt in Tanzania during Sept '07.
THANKS KATHI!!!

Die Ou JagterYou know another thing to remember about Kathi, she is a hunter like most of us and understands our needs (hunting type) unlike those Greenies in Texas who just like our money.

NitroXOops didn't mean to confuse anyone so added some explanation and a graphic. Just twisted MP type humour. The title immediately brought it to my mind.
Actually that plug is a good one. An all purpose multi size travel one very useful to take on travels and safari, where often hotel basins do not have plugs, one brings one's own. For laundry and the like.
One should be in Terry Carr's African Safari needs list if it isn't there already.
Actually talking about travel agents, a lot do recommend taking a multi-size bath/sink plug with in their useful tips handouts.

500grainsFortunately I have yet to spring a leak while on safari, but if I do then I hope to be able to rely on Lomotil rather than the medical plug pictured above.

465H&HThe most common cause of a jam in 1911s is a limp wrist. Anyone want to admit that they are limp wristed?

Very funny. It is a travel bath or sink plug.

When 6 of them function perfectly and one does not, that tells us something. On the $2K plus guns, sometimes it tells us that the slide is too tightly fitted and the gun needs 1000 rounds through it to wear it in.

That was certainly the most common advice on the 1911 boards back when I was reading. Do not complain about your new Wilson Combat unless you have 1000 rounds of approved ammo through it...
