GusteauxThe only thing that I am aware and KNOW works is the Garmin Maps Street Maps for Southern Africa.
I've got them on a Garmin Oregon 450 and 550T and use it in Namibia. The maps are a bit dated - 8 to 10 years old and don't show didn't show the new development in Klein Windhoek between down town and the A/P.
But we used them to drive to, in and around Swakop and Walvis Bay. Had no problem finding our B&B's, restaurants and gas stations. Most important...Joe's Beerhouse was already loaded!!!
There is another company called something like "Tracks 4 Africa" that say their maps are Garmin compatible, but no first hand personal knowledge.

Jorge400I've used the Garmin Southern Africa GPS maps as well. I forget exactly which countries are included but I know RSA, Namibia and Botswana are. My edition definately did not include Zim. The maps are pretty good. Some areas/roads of Namibia are not mapped but we encountered only a couple that were not. It even had the game drive trails in Chobe National Park in Bots.
I ordered mine directly from Garmin I believe. If memory serves, it was somewhere around $100 to $120.

MJinesI purchased a Garmin GPS download for southern Africa from Farraday's in Harare (they downloaded the map on to my GPS unit) so I know that they exist. Where to get one in the States, that is another issue.
