375 H&H for elephant ???
Wes,
Gee, you get to play in just a couple weeks. I'm jealous!
You being able to recover and hip that ele is quite a feat, one to be proud of in the mist of heart thumping excitement.
Just between you and me, I prefer ele hunting late, when the leaves are gone. I hunted once in late April and accidentally got so close to them I could have touched them with the barrel. That is just too much excitement for an old man!

AtkinsonWill,
You simply had to touch the brain to knock an elephant out, don't confuse me with circumstances, instances, my mind is made up on that subject.
It makes little difference what you miss the brain with, a miss is a miss..

Ray,
I cannot believe we disagree about this! Ha!
I am not a physiologist but I would guess that knocking out an elephant is akin to knocking someone out by a blow to the head.
Regardless, it would appear that some elephant are knocked out that some think have been brained. There is a definite sequence of reactions on the part of the elephant when it is brained, and, in my limited experience, has occurred in every instance.
As far as I'm concerned this topic could go on forever!

EXPRESSHey Bwanabob, I saw your video at Charlies' house about 6 years ago! The guy shooting was using a Sako bolt action and the elephant came through some high grass, right!?!
...Small world...
LVEric,
Good luck on your hunt and I'll be anxious to hear how it went.
