GBEGetting African trophies into Australia - customs clearance
With luck my skulls and skins from Zambia will soon be shipped.
Has anyone here recently gone through the process of getting trophies cleared by Australian customs?
Have there been any recent changes one needs to be mindful of?
I believe there was a duty exception code, does this still apply?

Matt GrahamGBE - I'd be talking to Joe Raitt in Brisbane, he is a Customs Broker and specialises in trophy imports. Joe Raitt <joe@raitt.com.au> Very good guy and been around a long time.
Some friends have cleared shipments themselves out of Brisbane though, not that hard to do but I guess someone like Joe is good insurance if something goes wrong or you cant be present yourself.

Mel Burton recommended Joe to me. No complaints at all. Easy to do bussiness with.

BakesIf raw skins come into the country don't they have to be irradiated? I thought only Gary Peg in Vic could do that?
