It is terrible news, but honestly hippos are dangerous animals, and someone made a bad mistake in getting that lady into a situation where that animal could get to her.

Even the rocks don't last forever.

RIP.

But even the pros come short sometimes, and hippos are well underestimated as dangerous animals.

I have seen so many video recently of tourists being put in harms way by their guides. Especially with elephants. The elephant has its trunk inside the car and everyone is still taking photos!!! Dont worry its only tembo coming to say good morning.........

Terrible thing.

How could anyone in charge allow such a thing to happen?

Anyone have any details?

Wrong place at the wrong time.
Fate has the habit of knocking unexpectedly.

RIP Good Lady.

Had the guide been killed instead it probably wouldn't have created such a furor.

It has happened in the not so distant past on another photographic safari though with an Elephant.

Has anyone seen the detail of what happened?

We all wish it had not and all believe that some failure in the guide service may have been at fault, but thus far , I have nor seen and real details.

Maybe not, but I would have been just as sad.
Even professionals miscalculate the dangers sometimes.
