Mike SmithA "little" tripe anyone?
I am still unable to leave to hunt this year and am living vicariously through you all to get my fix. Was going back through some pictures and found this one. Thought you would like it.

SaeedWE shot an elephant very late in the afternoon, so we could not butcher it.
Early next morning, we all turned up with the crew from the butchery.
By lunch time, there was nothing left except gut content and blood.
They cut up and carted every little morsel!
I spent all morning with them, taking photos.

boerbokribHi Saeed
Would it be possible to put up a gallery of the photo sequence

Mike SmithI know what you mean Saeed. In a matter of about 6 to 8 hours this elephant went from an animal on the ground to nothing left but a wet spot on the grass. I stayed with them the entire time while the other guys continued to hunt. Pretty amazing to watch. I will see if I can dig out the time sequence shots for you all.

Mike SmithUm um! Nothing like a good meal of chitlins and kimchi! I just can never figure out how everyone in the neighborhood knows when we make a bunch.

Mike SmithI just remembered that they even took all the stomach and intestine contents. Dont think I want to know if that was food or not.

joesterI realize many operators make $ via sales of game meat/ by- products, but I still wish EVERYTHING from the animals I shot in Africa went right into local tribal bellies...
