A friend of mine showed me a shoe size box of .375 diameter mammoth ivory rods. Cost $10,000.00.

Mammoth tusks have been used for many years to fabricate both handgun grips and knife scales. They cost, give or take, about twice as much as regular ivory, but each set of mammoth grips is unique -- it seems like no two are alike -- and they are, therefore, the perfect compliment to a custom handgun or knife.
