Eastern Cape & Karoo Safaris? I have been invited there. Anyone know it or Ashley Hobson, one of the PH/partners ?

FjoldErnest,
I booked a hunt for my brother and myself this September with Karoo. So far Victor has been very good to deal with, casual and personable and he is promising me a RW number 1 bushbuck.

Unless it is in a pen, eating antelope pellets and fresh-cut lucerne.

Please ask him to send me one of the magic wands he must be using to rustle that one up.
a Number 1 Bushbuck is about as scarce as Bigfoot.
Good luck Judge, one way or another its great bushbuck territory.

JudgeGOkay, here is why I was asking:
Each year, Eastern Cape & Karoo Safaris has a contest to win a hunt. Of course, it is somewhat of a marketing tactic, but this one is better than most, by far. Included is a Cape Kudu, an impala and a blesbok, all daily rates and even pick up and return from Port Elizabeth. As is my lucky habit (a' la Infinito's contest... which, too, is the real thing)... I won again!
Lots of things have been going on in my family that had caused me to decide not to go to Africa this year (the first time I'd miss it in 15 or so), but it seems that medical treatments are going fine, FF points are sufficient and the moon and stars got rearranged a bit better, so I'm Africa bound in late summer or September.
I just had to check bona fides of Eastern Cape & Karoo since I was not familiar with them and I've gotten nothing but good reports.... and I thank the guys who p.m.'ed me and those on this thread. Ain't AR a real asset to us Africaphiles, even an old hand, like me!
I'll probably stay an extra day or two and try for a bushbuck and a bush pig.... and yeah, I saw the "smilie" when the #1 RW bushbuck was promised... but maybe I'll get #2.

What will make the hunt more fun is that I'll be taking a Sauer pre-war Cape gun in 16 gauge/7mmR with claw mounts and a vintage scope. Should do just fine if I hunt blue duiker with dogs??
Y'all wish me luck!
