Cal, we have a sensory safari trailer here in Southwest OHio. Our trailer is full of many species of African, North American taxidermied species of animals mostly mammals.
The primary purpose is to introduce the animals to the blind. The blind do not know the difference between a deer and a raccoon for example. We let the kids touch all the mounts. Most importantly this helps the kids understand the size difference of animals. Of course how adaption and diversification has helped them in their environment.
We also take the trailer to schools primarily for science classes to interact. Occasionally we take it to Cabelas, 4h and boy scouts.
Previous Post with pictures Technically the donation would be to the SCi foundation and they would generate a donation receipt for your tax records.
We would love to have interact with the rhino skull
