White rhino skull
Fellas:
I have a white rhino skull and I wish to dispose of it. USF&G tells me I can't sell it. But, is it legal to give it as a gift if the new owner pays for the shipping? I have a vet. certificate for the skull.
Just looking for options as I am downsizing greatly.
Thanks for your input.
Cal

Cal, we have a sensory safari trailer here in Southwest OHio. Our trailer is full of many species of African, North American taxidermied species of animals mostly mammals.

The primary purpose is to introduce the animals to the blind. The blind do not know the difference between a deer and a raccoon for example. We let the kids touch all the mounts. Most importantly this helps the kids understand the size difference of animals. Of course how adaption and diversification has helped them in their environment.

We also take the trailer to schools primarily for science classes to interact. Occasionally we take it to Cabelas, 4h and boy scouts.

Previous Post with pictures

Technically the donation would be to the SCi foundation and they would generate a donation receipt for your tax records.

We would love to have interact with the rhino skull

That is very cool! Have you been able to track down all of the animals on that list?

No actually we are still looking for the following full mounts:

Skunk
Armadillo
Possum
Fox
Wolverine
Snake

Shoulder Mounts

Bull Elk
bighorn or Dall Sheep
Zebra

I think I had someone from here who was going to ship us a Fox but the packing and shipping was expensive.

Thank you for asking

I could donate the big horn, zebra, bull elk shoulder mounts along with the fox full mount but I expect the red tape and expense from Canada would be prohibitive. It is such a great endeavour.

Thank you for the gesture. I have another gentleman who can donate an Elk in Montana. I just have to find someone from Cincinnati area going out to Montana.

The Bull Elk mount is my goal. I have tried some auctions but I always miss the less expensive mounts.

Thank you,

Jim
