"The Practical Shot"
Anyone read/have the book "The Practical Shot" by Natie Oelofse and Wayne Hendry? I saw an ad for it in the latest mailing I got from African Sporting Gazette. The price is much less than the classic "Perfect Shot," so I was wondering how it compares in content, photos, info, etc.

I have it. It's pretty good as far as this kind of book goes.

It seems to me though, that the only four legged big game animals you need a "shot placement" book for are elephant, giraffe and crocodile, and those few special cases hardly justify an entire book.

For every other quadruped, just hold on the back edge of the front leg a third to halfway up the body from the brisket.
