Robert johnsonBack from a great Namibia hunt
My wife and I just returned from a great plains game hunt with Dirk Rohrmann. This is the most affordable hunt I ever been on. The daily fees were $195 a day for my wife and I. The trophy fees were also low, Kudu-$600, Oryx $400, Eland $1150, Mountain Zebra $600. Best of all this ranch/conession is huge and largly unfenced, and the Kudu and Oryx on this ranch are huge! If I can figure out how to post pictures, I have a picture of a 46" Oryx Dirk picked up on the ranch. Drik is having it scored for R.W. it should be number 3 or 4 in the book! This ranch has everthing! Horseback riding, Great bird hunting, Nice lodging, Great food, and best of all Honest people running it!

BFaucettRobert,
Sounds like you had a great trip! The outfit/ranch sounds interesting. Do you have a web site address for them?

Robert johnsonThe pictures Kudu and Oryx horns pictured above were all picked up on the Okanduka farm.
The company name is Okanduka Seibe Guest & hunting farm. Managed by Dirk and Rita Rohrmann they only have a small web site, with there prices and a small description of their ranch. Dirk has to drive 150-200 kl just to check his email! The email & phone service in Namibia are horrible, and it's not uncommon to go with out service for weeks. The best way to get a hold of him is by fax 264+64+551551. If you would like to see pictures of the ranch, send me your email and I will email pictures to you.

Robert: Congratulations on your hunt. You have some good specimens, and your zebra and both kudu look great. It looks and sounds like you had a great time. It is fun isn't it? This stuff is hard to resist.

Thanks for putting up the photos. Any hartebeest on the property? Also where in Namibia is it located, the nearest town? (edited: found their website and saw they are South West of Windhoek) .
Thanks.
Robert: I do not know how big your springbok are but I will tell you they are bigger than the one I shot. They look great.
I live in Anchorage.

MARK H. YOUNGRobert,
Sounds like a great time and some nice trophies to boot. Also glad the price was fair. Being from Alaska it isn't often you get a deal on anything.

Mark

bwanamrmRobert,
Congratulations to you and your wife. Looks like you took some excellent trophies-from kudu and gemsbok to steinbok! And, as usual, you were treated royally to boot, that table set by the fire in the middle of the bush screams "safari!". Glad you had a fantastic hunt and thanks for sharing.

I think it was these two websites:
http://www.namibianhunter.de/NamibianHunter250304/Jagen/Farmen/OkandukaSeibe/Okandukaseibe.htmThis website is in German and has hunting information.
http://www.okanduka.de/The second has an English section as well as German. It is mainly a tourism website (?).
